Very centrally located and easy parking. It is a large, bright and well-equipped library. It offers books, movies, digital resources and educational programs for all ages. There are meeting rooms, quiet study rooms and youth areas. Internet access is available. I am now a member as well people living in Colorado can easily get a membership. The staff are very helpful. I recommend it.

Updated: we just found the maker space/idea lab. Oh my goodness! What a fantastic resource!

My son (13) and I were BLOWN AWAY by the Denver Public Library!

    Seven floors:
1-4 is ALL THE normal stuff
7 was an art display and balcony

Floor 5 was our favorite! The archives floor of the Denver public library – there’s a genealogy section with like Ellis island entries! We could also TOUCH THE BOOKS! There’s also old card catalogs; Old maps from everywhere from like 1800’s; a wooden room custom designed by the architect – NO NAILS – with all the western US history (if you include their storage floor (6) and basement). They call it the structure and history room the Snowglobe. 🥰

We may have nerded out. Highly recommend as just a random visit while we’re in Denver for the month.

Beautiful and spacious library, tons of resources, comfortable reading areas wherever you look. My son was impressed that they even have a large collection of graphic novels and manga! Very impressive.
