A Hidden Gem in Mataas na Kahoy!
Doña Lola’s is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a cozy, intimate ambiance. Their dishes are not just aesthetically pleasing but also packed with flavor. The kare-kare has a unique twist that makes it stand out + their extensive menu offers plenty of delicious options.
One of their specialties is their own house-made beer which adds a unique touch to the dining experience. The service is excellent—very accommodating and the owner is hands-on, personally ensuring that guests are enjoying their food.
If you’re in Mataas na Kahoy, this spot is definitely worth checking out!

If you’re looking for a venue for your next event, Doña Lola’s is the perfect place. From the amazing delicious food thats properly prepared and can satisfy you and your guests taste buds to their romantic intimate ambiance with a breathtaking view of Taal Lake even their staff is very polite. We recently held my parents’ silver wedding anniversary at Doña Lola’s. We are fans of Tomato and Basil, so we just discovered about Doña Lola’s event packages when we saw the pavilion in the lower part of the compound and the comedor nearby.
Everything went smoothly— from the very first time I inquired about their packages, up to the end of our event. The owner answered my questions comprehensively and provided me with the necessary photos and documents to help in selecting the best venue for our event. We were able to discuss things harmoniously, ensuring that the quality of food and venue is not compromised, while also working within our set budget. Actually, the natural design of the place and the view of the lake (+ the cool weather!) would already suffice as decorations, so you would not spend much on styling. They also have connections with suppliers (acoustic band, photobooth, lechon, flowers—these are what we availed additionally).
On the day of the event, the owner and her team of staff were very hands on in ensuring that our guests were seated accordingly and were served with their appetizers and meals on time. They know exactly what to do, just give them your program and time table. Overall, it was a great experience celebrating this milestone with Doña Lola’s. It was more than just business; it was genuine service and pure love for their craft of making people’s events (or even simple meals) memorable. Thank you so much, Doña Lola’s!
