The hotel is so clean with many restaurants, facilities and activities! The staff are welcoming and always greeting you with a smile, and if you’re lucky you might catch them dancing outdoors to some fun music.

The beauty treatments are super relaxing, the pool overlooks the sea and and I got to see some fish and starfish on the private beach. There are fun themed activities such as the foam party, karaoke night and sunset yoga!
I really loved the sunset yoga — compliments to Ray for a good session!

The buffet breakfast has a crazy amount of variety and so delicious! I really recommend the Thai restaurant (Benjarong) which honestly had the best restaurant mango sticky rice I’ve ever had!

I celebrated my birthday at Dusit Thani Mactan, and it turned out to be such a heartwarming experience. From the moment I arrived, the receptionist was very attentive and welcoming, which already set the tone for the stay.

What truly stood out for me was the dinner buffet experience. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and attentive. They made me feel really special by greeting me and even singing Happy Birthday, which honestly caught me off guard in the best way. It’s those simple but thoughtful gestures that make a celebration unforgettable.

Special thanks to Rhea, Darryl, Riann, Rolly, Rico, JM, Ace, and Knives!! your genuine service and energy made my birthday extra meaningful. You can really feel that you care about your guests.

The only positive aspect worth mentioning is that the hotel allowed us to check in earlier than scheduled, which we appreciated.

However, beyond that, the overall experience was deeply disappointing. There is no water dispenser in the hotel, and the room provides only two very small bottles of water. The next morning, before starting our day, we requested additional water from the front desk. We waited in the room for over 30 minutes and nothing arrived. When we called again, the staff oddly asked whether we wanted mango juice instead. After waiting for nearly another 30 minutes with no delivery, we eventually had to leave the hotel without receiving anything.

Another major issue was the lack of communication. One evening, the hotel hosted a beachfront buffet dinner, but no staff informed us about it at all. We only discovered it by chance after walking around the property, and by then, the dining time had already ended.

The Thai restaurant in the hotel serves food with decent flavors overall, but the stir-fried morning glory with shrimp paste was excessively salty. More importantly, the restaurant’s facilities are in poor condition: several chairs and tables were broken or unstable. We also noticed someone coughing in the kitchen without wearing a mask, which was concerning.

The final disappointment came during breakfast on our last day. Shortly after being seated, we ordered sunny-side-up eggs. After waiting for an entire hour, the dish never arrived.

For a hotel that claims to be a five-star property, the service quality is far below what one would reasonably expect. The repeated delays, lack of communication, poor facility maintenance, and inattentive service made this stay extremely frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here.
