We did the guided tour which was £8 per head and lasted about an hour. It was well worth every penny as you learn so much. The architecture is fantastic and the cloisters were used in the Harry Potter films. A great visit for cathedral lovers.

Absolutely amazing cathedral. Free to enter, tho you can make a donation, and to be honest, it feels appropriate. Everything is well maintained, and there are helpful sign boards around the place giving information about certain parts and other points of interest around the cathedral. The place is huge, will take a good hour to walk around and you can take a guided tour as well which we didn't do, but I think would be very informative. Well worth it, even just to go to Gloucester for the very purpose of seeing the cathedral.

Entrance is free, but you can leave a donation for the church. When you visit during workdays it’s super quiet and peaceful without too many people. A perfect opportunity to visit the filmset of Harry Potter without too many people around.
