I wanted my first stay in Santa Fe to be something special. My friend I was traveling with was from Santa Fe, so he told me about this place. I looked it up, saw the pictures and booked it. What a terrific introduction to Santa Fe and the Plaza!

The hotel had embodied everything I'd imagined that Santa Fe could be. It exuded history. The colors, the design, all the wood and tile, it was like stepping into the Old West. If rustic elegance is a thing, this place is it. I was completely enchanted!

The next day, we went to the terrace for breakfast which was a terrific local, New Mexican fare. The view brought clear skies and the top of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. We could see the Plaza stretched beyond the gorgeous array of potted plants… still just so happy to have had the experience as my introduction to Santa Fe, which became the first of many and many more to come.

I have been At the Lafonda for many years… And I keep coming back because the rooms are beautiful, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is truly enchanting, and the service is always excellent.

The team at La Fonda are some of the friendliest people… Always checking in on me to see if I need anything During my stay… Always Available to answer And take care of me while I’m there…

I am definitely a fan of La Fonda on the plaza and will continue to stay there in the future… i’m already booked for opera season this summer and I’m bringing my cousin and her husband along to enjoy the La Fonda experience…

Stayed here on a road trip and La Fonda absolutely delivered. Every single team member was genuinely friendly and helpful, from the front desk staff who went out of their way to find us a quiet room, to always being happy to give walking directions around town.

Major shout-out to the valet and bell team. Truly some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere. Fast, careful, warm, and consistently going above and beyond without ever feeling rushed or transactional.

The hotel itself is beautiful. Classic Santa Fe architecture with thoughtful modern updates, especially in the bathrooms, that add comfort without sacrificing the historic character. It feels curated, not overdone.

The location is unbeatable. Walkable to everything downtown, shops, galleries, restaurants, the plaza. We parked the car and barely touched it.

Would absolutely stay here again. It feels like Santa Fe.
