I went to La Mesa Eco Park last Sunday for a quick walk, and it turned out to be a great way to spend the morning. I really enjoyed the trail walk surrounded by small forest areas — it’s a peaceful place to think and clear your mind. It’s best to visit early in the morning when the air is still cool.

Parking is widely available for both cars and motorcycles. Some areas inside are currently closed due to fallen trees, but there’s still plenty of space to explore.

However, I noticed that some picnic tables and spots had trash left behind, which takes away from the park’s natural beauty. If you plan to visit, please clean up after yourself and dispose of your garbage properly, WAG KAYONG BALAHURA. Let’s help keep this place clean so everyone can continue to enjoy it.

Fun fact: The park sits at the edge of the La Mesa Watershed, Metro Manila’s primary source of drinking water. It was reopened to the public in 2004 after a major rehabilitation effort by the ABS-CBN Foundation and MWSS to restore the forest and promote environmental awareness. Knowing that you’re walking in a place that literally helps supply the city’s water makes it even more special.

Overall, it’s a refreshing escape close to Metro Manila — perfect for anyone looking to disconnect, reflect, or just breathe some fresh air without leaving the city. There’s a small entrance fee for non–Quezon City residents, though I don’t recall the exact amount.

Great place for nature lovers! Well maintained, clean and quiet place to visit with family, friends, or even by yourself. Entrance is free of charge for QC residents provided they present any valid ID as proof; 20PHP fee for non-residents. To go there, alight by Pearl Drive along Commonwealth Ave., then ride a tricycle going to the main entrance (fare is only 40PHP). They are open everyday except Mondays.

    Plan your trip😇
    Best during summer😉
Don't go during the rainy season some places may be muddy, slippery and tree branches might fall😱
Security guards are nice and helpful😇
