Practically every Sunday at 6.30pm there is a talk or event. Entrance is usually free and so are the tea and biscuits. Donations are welcome.

- 5.0/5:
Wonderful traditional karate school downstairs in the basement. Good instructors very knowledgeable. Established in the centre of Leicester since 1964. Great way of keeping fit whilst learning an intriguing martial art. Good character building for kids as well.

- 4.0/5:
Unusual old society hall which has seen lectures by William Morris and George Bernard Shaw among others. Attractive Victorian building somewhat overshadowed by unattractive modern constructions in a rather run down area.
