There's a beautiful orchard of young pear and apple trees here (off Dupont, just next to the dog park, at the bottom of a hill). They are being maintained by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board – a nationally recognized organization on the cutting edge of modern arboriculture. Expect to see these continue to thrive with each passing season and enjoy the bright, showy flowers that emerge as spring rolls into summer. These trees encourage pollinators like honey bees and butterflies to feed and reproduce. And, of course, we can look forward to some nice ripe apples come autumn.
