We've been here a few times and has definitely improved, but the rooms are still a bit minimum, bathroom water heaters not working but still pretty okay; anyway this is to experience commune with nature. Their pools are still awesome, but we really always loved the hotspring dipping pool. They have free EV shuttle service when going around the grounds: security and staff have been beefed up, really friendy and courteous!

I recently visited Mambukal Hot Spring with a group of friends, and it was exactly the "reset" we all needed. If you are looking to de-stress and soothe your muscles, this is the place to be.

    What We Loved:

    • The Hot Springs: Dipping into the warm, sulfur-rich waters was incredibly relaxing. My friends and I spent hours just soaking and chatting; it’s a fantastic way to bond while feeling the tension leave your body.

    • The Natural Setting: Being surrounded by lush greenery and the cool breeze of the mountains makes the hot spring experience feel very authentic and grounding.

    A Suggestion for Improvement:

While the experience was mostly peaceful, there is one thing I believe the administration should address: the use of loud portable speakers. Mambukal is a sanctuary, not just for people but for the famous fruit bats and local wildlife. Loud music disrupts the natural "nature ambiance" that visitors come here to enjoy. I strongly suggest that the admin implement a ban on loud speakers in the dipping areas to preserve the tranquility of the resort and protect the habitat of the bats.

Overall: We had a great time and left feeling completely refreshed. With a little more focus on maintaining a quiet environment, this place would be absolute perfection!

Mambukal has been my go-to place to decompress for years, and no matter how many times I visit, it never disappoints. There’s something magical about being surrounded by that much nature—the sound of the river, the cool mountain air, and the sight of ancient trees just washes the city stress away.

My personal decompression ritual is always the same. First, a long, therapeutic soak in the warm sulfur dipping pool. The water, naturally heated by Mt. Kanlaon, is perfect for soothing tired muscles after a trek or just melting away mental tension. For an extra dose of calm, I highly treat myself to a massage at the on-site spa—it’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge.

While I’m there for the relaxation, the adventure side of the resort is fantastic, too. A hike to the first of the seven waterfalls is a must for a dose of scenic energy. I also love kayaking on the peaceful lagoon; gliding across the water surrounded by greenery is incredibly serene.

The fact that you can enjoy all this at such a reasonable cost makes repeat visits easy. Over the years, I've learned that arriving early on weekdays helps avoid the crowds for a more peaceful experience.

In short, Mambukal is a true gem of Negros. It’s a place that consistently delivers a perfect blend of relaxation and gentle adventure, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

If you have a specific focus for your next visit—like just relaxing at the hot spring, trying the spa treatments, or doing more of the adventurous activities—let me know and I can share more details.
