  • 5.0/5:

Home of the Archdiocese of Nueva Carceres. Magnificent old building with great Tromp lOilel art. They need to adjust the settings of the sound system. Nearby San Francisco church has high quality sound.

  • 5.0/5:

A stunning cathedral in the heart of the city with a museum, expansive grounds, intricate details, well crafted interiors, and an equally impressive monastery beside it.

  • 5.0/5:

The cathedral has spacious parking and the cars have minimal shade so parking there makes your vehicle hot.

It seems there is a school canteen for a school situated beside the cathedral, and a small square where vendors sell candles, toys, taho, and religious items like rosaries, and bracelet rosaries.

The inside is very spacious, high ceilings, lots of pews, a large nave, high pillars with Doric designs, great air circulation. However, the pew we occupied had a bad kneeler, our immense weight bended the kneeler inches to the ground, so the pews can get old or have flaws to its structure.

The service was in English, I wish we heard more of Bikol service which happens earlier in the day (we attended in the afternoon at 12:00+) and the church has less deacons that usual. The church was also initiating a procession right after the special announcements so we exited the church via front door.

We were in the parking area exiting the gate inside the car, and there was a beggar on the side asking the drivers in the cars for money, my mother comments these beggars are annoying and that they are lazy people who don’t work but choose to beg from people.

This cathedral is a little better than San Franciso church because this has a parking lot which is more convenient, however it further from the shopping malls like E-Mall, SM, Robinsons, Bichara, and Grandmaster Mall.
