Went here for Youmacon for years and had a great time. It’s not nearly as big as it used to be, but it’s regrowing after they restarted with new management after COVID. It used to be one of the best cons in the country, hopefully they can get back to that.
The venue had some nice food trucks, and affordable/okay food in the food court. Spaced out well with escalators and signs outside the panel rooms telling you what’s going on. The arcade was a highlight and we loved browsing the dealer hall. We’ll be back each year! Plenty of parking available nearby avging around $20 for the night for event fare.

Huntington place sure isn't the old cobo Hall anymore. Beautifully redone interior, exterior and vallet parking makes attending an event there pleasant and convenient. The highway ramp is right under the building so you can get on or off the highway in moments avoiding that downtown traffic.

I recently attended two Ignite the Classroom events for the Ron Clark Academy at Huntington Place, and I was incredibly impressed! The facility is big, beautiful, and spotless — there's plenty of room to explore, and everything feels clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms were immaculate, which is always a huge plus.
The event itself was stunning — very well-organized, with amazing food and a great atmosphere. While parking was a bit confusing due to nearby construction, the venue made up for it with plenty of clear signage that helped guide me directly to the event space.
Overall, Huntington Place is a top-notch venue, and I would absolutely attend another event here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
