A real pleasure to visit the gardens and grounds on a sunny day.
The skilled garden maintenance is amazing.
The house is open on the ground floor only in February, but the lives of servants are always fascinating.
The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Then I had a small lunch in the upstairs barn, very good.

Another lovely National Trust property. We visited on a saturday morning, car park was very busy, but this was due to an event in the grounds. the house id fascinating, with very helpful staff to explain all the details. The gardens are beautiful, even in the Autumn. The usual national trust facilities such a great little cafe and second hand book shop. Well worth a visit.

Lovely National Trust property to visit near Wrexham. We did park run first, in the grounds, which was a bit muddy, but beautifully scenic. The event was very friendly with lots of volunteers offering us encouragement. The house and gardens are great. We did the 45min guided tour of the outside of the house and in the gardens first, with a NT volunteer who was very knowledgeable. This provided us with a great start, before our look inside and around the house itself. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch in the cafe and overall, we had a super day out. Would definitely recommend.
