11/11/2025 – First time visiting the infamous and historic Newport Music Hall with one of my closest friends and the experience was amazing. I am in awe that 1700 guests can fit in this building but for the Durand Jones & The Indications event, I am a believer. Very small seating available. General admission standing room venue. Elevated decent size stage, great lighting, and great sound. Two level structure full of a great crowd and talented musicians. The Psycodelics were the opening act and this bad is insane. Truly talented musicians and vocalist! The headliner Durand Jones & The Indications were amazing, heartfelt, and soulful performers.

This place is a sweet little escape from the world. My bestie and I came to see Cam Whitcomb and had an absolute blast! The venue was clean, roomy, we felt safe, security was on point and it was just overall a great night!

Newport is one of my more favored Columbus music venues. It has tons of GA room and you can always upgrade to a seat if you don’t wanna brave the crowds for a show. It’s a beautiful theatre with good sound quality. I definitely recommend catching a show here. Only complaint is how hard it can be to find nearby parking.
