We went there on Remembrance Day. They have a special memorial display to honour the heroes who lost their lives during fighting in Afghanistan from 2002-2011. We paid our respects and learn an important lesson in Canadian history. Lest we forget

If you have time … it's a very simple museum. But well worth it if you want to know the history of nose creek !
Nose creek runs into the bow river around the calgary zoo .
It was a very well traveled valley for some native tribes to sell and trade their wares . As well as numerous camps along the way to calgary. There is a " butcher shop" where the indigenous people camped and that was their place to stay and eat just south of Balzac on nose creek . Here you can find numerous buffalo bones as the creek washes away from the banks. Arrow heads are not uncommon to find.
There is a monument of where the camps were. But hard to find . Do some digging or walking the banks of the creek and you will find treasures of the past !

Very interesting regional museum. There is quite a lot of history packed in here. I think what was most fascinating to me personally was the topographical map of the Nose Creek valley water shed. The different elevations are quite intriguing and show the variations in land in the area. I also really enjoyed the Ford model T as well as the honking large Cadillac!
