I love this store so much, fine, they don't have as much selection as the cursed "Michael's" but they also don't suck the soul out of you the second you walk into that over priced resplendent Hellscape!
The staff are absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend going here before anywhere else:)

Whenever I am in Thunder Bay I have to pop in to The Painted Turtle. It is a mixture of gallery and art supply store. The supplies are great quality, good brands and decent selection for the size of store. The gallery features local artists at prices that are a steal. You get great art that represents the area. The wonderful staff are willing to chat about the supplies and their work which also hangs in the gallery section. For any artist, this is a 'must go'.

Employees are wonderful people. Prices are alittle 😳 But I love the Stevenson brand of acrylics & so far only the Painted Turtle carries it. Normally they have a large variety of colors to choose from, but with this pandemic, art/crafts supplies are short supplied everywhere. The Painted Turtle were short on supplies, in which I wish they would have told me when I called before spending 48.xx on a cab 😪 to get there.
