The Palawan Butterfly Ecological Garden and Tribal Village is a wonderful place that combines nature, beauty, and culture all in one visit. The garden is peaceful and full of vibrant butterflies flying around, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the butterflies and other animals in the garden.

What makes this place even more special is the Tribal Village, where you can meet and interact with members of the Palaw’an tribe. They showcase their traditional way of life, crafts, and survival skills, giving visitors a meaningful glimpse into Palawan’s rich indigenous culture.

It’s a relaxing, educational, and eye-opening experience — great for families, students, and tourists who want to appreciate both the natural and cultural treasures of Palawan. A must-visit while in Puerto Princesa!

Visited the Butterfly Ecological Garden & Tribal Village in Palawan recently, and it was both calming and eye-opening. The butterflies flitting around the garden made for a peaceful walk, and I liked seeing the other rescued animals too (bearcats, peacocks, scorpions, etc.). The tribal part was the most memorable — the guides shared stories, showed indigenous crafts, music, and taught about the Palaw’an way of life, which felt genuine and respectful. Entrance is super affordable, so if you’re in Puerto Princesa and have an hour or two to spare, this spot is worth dropping by.

Amazing experience, really nice organized, a lot of butterflies and other animals, a lot of signs with descriptions for animals or plants, nice presentation of filipino tribal village.
Really recommend this place to visit if you are in Puerto Princesa.
