The ceremony was well-organized, dignified, and filled with pride — a powerful tribute to generations of brave men and women who have served the nation. Watching alumni reconnect, march with pride, and celebrate their legacy was both inspiring and emotional.

Philippine Military Academy (PMA) is definitely a checklist destination when visiting Baguio. My first visit was about three decades ago, and I’ve been coming back from time to time ever since. The place remains peaceful and blissful, with its well-maintained grounds, rich history, and refreshing atmosphere. It’s a great spot for reflection, leisurely walks, and appreciating the discipline and pride of the institution. Always worth a visit.

We toured around PMA for some light walking and sightseeing. The cadets seem accustomed to visitors; they were polite and greeted us with “good morning” and “good afternoon.”

It’s a scenic mix of nature and history, especially if you take the time to read the signages around the grounds. The greenery is well maintained, and it’s a pleasant place to observe the many noticeably healthy crows in the area.

Be aware that the guards at the entrance will stop you if you’re not wearing appropriate footwear.
