Stayed there two nights for business. I stayed in the Home Suite which is themed as though you were staying over at your grandma's place, if you get my drift. The place is squeaky clean and quiet. If you are easily bothered by traffic noise you may want to book a room away from the main intersection though. Only minor hitch was a cold shower on the first morning owing to an unexpected boiler failure, which they fixed. These things happen. Restaurant is a little bit pricey but there are lots of other dining options within a few blocks if you are on a budget. All in all, for under $200 it is a great value for a four-star hotel. Bonus points for the automated hot drinks station in the lobby which is accessible 24 hours a day. I far prefer this to the unsanitary single cup coffee makers you see in hotel rooms. Bed was so comfortable I did not want to get up. Would definitely stay there again next time I am in Chatham.

I attended the Mayor's Heritage Day and Awards in the hotel's Derby Room. As I live a little more than an hour away I thought I'd treat myself with a place to rest and get ready for the awards and then a good nights sleep once they were complete.
I loved Retro Suites. I stayed in the Southwest room which was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom complete with bathtub. A BEAUTIFUL and quirky adapted reuse with unique heritage features, it was a perfect place for the theme of the day. The staff were very professional and I did not experience any problems at all during my stay (I did not use the television). If you're someone that can't sleep with road noise, I would suggest requesting a room away from the main road. I was also unbothered by the sound of water rushing through pipes but understand that might unsettle some folks.
If ever I have a need to stay in Chatham again, Retro Suites will be my hotel of choice.

Love Retro suites Hotel. Walking distance to downtown. Restaurants and bars . Sons of kent is across the street. Rooms are comfortable. Very clean. We had the rock and roll room. Very cool . Love that the lobby offers a fantastic free coffee bar too. Had a delicious cappuccino when we checked in . This place checks all the boxes 👍🏻
