This was really awesome. We went for a tour of the women at Skyler Mansion. It was so interesting. I learned things I never new before! I cannot wait to share the things I learned here. It was so fun! You get to learn about how many peoples lives overlapped and how they lived. I always knew Albany had a lot of history, but I didn't know it had this much. I also got to learn about the daughters of Philip and Catherine Schuler and what their personalities were like. I completely recommend going here, the staff and very nice and they know their stuff.

    Cool Places to go

Very friendly Staff. I was able to navigate quite a bit with my powerchair. I did not go on the tour. I preference to opt for the virtual tour. It just makes more sense for me. Staff at the visitor center were very friendly. Nice options for Souvenirs at very reasonable prices. There's enough to see in the visitor center to keep you occupied for a fair bit, dont let the size of it fool you. Several modern digital interactive learning kiosks and it wasnt overly crowded. I was pleasantly surprised how fragrant the historical plantings were. Maybe because I was spending a bit of time next to the entrance loading my powerchair. But it was pleasant, fragrant and relaxing. Plenty of benches on the grounds to just sit and enjoy.

Daughter is Hamilton obsessed so our trip to Albany would not have been complete without a visit here. Staff friendly, tour guide knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Great history tour when in the area.
