We recently visited Summerhill Pyramid Winery and while the experience started with a long wait, it was well worth it in the end. The winery was very busy, even though it wasn’t peak hours be prepared to wait if you are coming for a tasting, as it takes time to serve each party 4–5 glasses and give proper attention to the wine storytelling.

Since the indoor tasting area was packed, we were redirected to the gazebo tasting room outside, which had a lovely setting. Still, we had to wait about 30 minutes as 2–3 groups were ahead of us.

When it was finally our turn, we were served by the manager, Daniel (if I recall the name right), and he was absolutely fantastic. Despite being pulled in every direction, Daniel remained calm, warm, and engaging. He didn’t rush us at all he explained each wine thoughtfully, poured generously, and made the whole experience enjoyable and educational. He also didn’t pressure us to make any purchases, which we appreciated.

In the end, we left with several bottles and a box of wine, including a few delicious ice wines. The wait was long, but the customer service and quality of wine made it worth it.

Pro tip: If you’re planning a visit, try to arrive early in the day or on a weekday to avoid the peak crowd

This was my very first wine tasting experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. The host was extremely knowledgeable, cheerful, and engaging throughout the tasting. She not only provided excellent service but also shared educational information in a way that was easy to understand and enjoyable to learn.

Her energy and professionalism made the experience both fun and memorable. I left feeling not only impressed by the wines but also grateful for the outstanding service. Highly recommend!

My friend and I visited Summerhill while we were in town skiing at Big white. We traveled all the way from the middle of Washington and we knew on our way up driving past all the wineries we needed to go to one. We googled some in our area and decided to go with Summerhill and it did not disappoint. Such a beautiful winery by the river. We did the wine tasting and then went and sat afterwards to dine in. The lady who helped us during our wine tasting was such a wonderful gal and was so helpful and gave such detailed descriptions of all the wines. We both bought a few bottles. I saved mine for my first year wedding anniversary later that year, their chardonnay. When we dined in we got some fun charcuterie boards and of course more wine! Definitely so glad we chose this winery and hope to go back and visit some day.
