I had the opportunity to experience the Arena District and downtown Columbus while I was there for a convention for a few days. The Arena District is a great area which is also downtown and close to the airport. It has many great attractions from arenas such as Nationwide Arena home to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL, a ballpark, convention center parks and Scioto Trail to name a few. There is also numerous historic landmarks buildings, sculptures, monuments and more. The Arena District also has a lot of great restaurants and you don’t have to walk very far from anywhere in the area too find one as we experienced. We stayed at one of the many hotels in the area that was connected to the massive Greater Columbus Convention Center. The area is also a great place to go for a walk as it is safe and so much to see. The Scioto trail is also a great spot for a walk along the river. We wish we had more time than what we did to see more of the downtown and arena district as well as the other areas of Columbus. Guess we will have to come back sometime.

The arena district in downtown Columbus is a nice area including Nationwide Arena, the Clipper’s Stadium, several restaurants and bars, plenty of paid parking.

This part of downtown has changed so much over the years. It has added to Columbus it's own dedicated district to professional sports and to downtown living.
