This is my favourite little self-care spot.
I have been for many an afternoon de-stress Lavendar London Fog accompanied by a lovely tasty treat, I have gone for lunch with colleagues where the always on-point Egg Salad sandwich satieted us while we solved the small-ish local problems of our shared world.
It's the galpal early evenings where we all select treats to share with one another over the bubbly and lively banter whenever we finally have time to spend together.
And a Sunday afternoon tea – if you haven't experienced a high tea, you are missing out.
The atmosphere is beautiful, the decor a treat and feast for the eyes on both sides: the beautiful old world tea and desserts on The Art of Cake side as well as the luxurious and decadent (did I mention licensed) speakeasy Red Door area.
Hushed conversations, elegant music, comfortable reclining setees, is it the 1920's? Who knows, let me linger longer while the live music soothes me.
The cakes they produce are thoughtfully designed, beautifully presented, and knowing it is the vision of one amazing lady makes my heart sing.
I am a big fan of the folks here. They are a small team bringing about big dreams, humbly and with all the genuine effort that seems lacking elsewhere in these times.
I recommend you check it out next time you need a treat.
Weekday early evening is the best chance to skip the crowds. Weekends are hopping all day with the local residents.
Thank you ladies for the sweet celebratory cupcake when you knew I had a special ceremony.
Thoughtful and kind. As well as delicious fare.
