I come here for the friendly staff, good mocktails, ciders, mead, and the golden root ginger beer. I’m allergic to wheat so this is one of the places in town I like to come to regularly because I have lots of options. If you’re allergic to gluten be sure to ask for some of the fancier drinks especially the holiday menus, sometimes some of the bars around here like to garnish things with the forbidden snacks, but they always have plenty of options. Really chill place to hang out and have several drinks. Lots of fun events each month. Life drawing with Artists’ Grove Tattoo and Art Studio is my favorite.

I don't hesitate a moment when someone suggests meeting up at The Bearded Monk- and I live 71 miles away. In days gone by I live closer. That meant I could pop-in just about anytime which I did. The beer selection is massive, ever revolving and evolving. Yet the list is over shadowed by the staff, who maybe some of the kindest, friendliest people you're likely to encounter. Recently Riley and Ben helped make for a memorable afternoon- thank you.

If you’re in Denton and want to snag some beers to go, please check out The Bearded Monk. Ben and his team of Beertenders enjoy and sell beer. You can find some of the latest beers as well as some nostalgic beers you don’t always see in the big box stores.
The space seems small on the outside you would expect an antique quaint shop. Then you go in and see an impressive tap wall of crushable beer, rows of beers to purchase, and a cold case.
The Bearded Monk has a quirky and lovable attitude and vibe that you want to stay all day. By 5 p.m., scrolling and enjoying my beer, I think I should have been gone a long time ago. SMH. It was so peaceful sitting at a table. If I had my book I would have been in complete bliss! You can bring food from the nearby food
Truck or that amazing Mexican restaurant around the corner. I don’t get to Denton that often but when I do; The Bearded Monk is on the list.
