Belcourt is an institution and staple of what makes this side of Nashville so special. 📽️🎞️
Been going to this wonderful place before the renovation over 10 years ago. We went and saw The Sound of Music recently and it was so much fun to experience such a classic with a room full of others.

This theater is a major staple of Nashville and is a must for any middle Tennessean who loves cinema!
Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the Belcourt is the premiere Mecca for arthouse cinema by showing movies that aren’t even available in your traditional AMC or Regal (such as the new Frankenstein film produced by Netflix). The film also showcases many classic films and even hosts midnight movies with introductions before the film (some of them even have appearances from people involved in the making of the film). It is also host to the annual Rocky horror picture show every Halloween as well as an annual screening of “the room” with a guest appearance from its costar Greg Sestaro. Many of Hollywood’s biggest movie stars have been known to host special screenings of their latest films like Timothee Charlemet, Ethan Hawk, and Nashville’s favorite Hollywood Starlet Nichole Kidman! The staff is very friendly and accommodating and they offer free parking for patrons as well as a very reasonably priced snack bar with your favorite movie theater snacks as well as beer, wine, mixed drinks, and alternative choices like nuts and gluten free cookies. There’s also a plethora of restaurants around the area to grab a bite before or after the film. I cannot recommend this place enough!
