The Charles Theatre was a wonderful find while traveling through and looking for a place to see Eddington. This theater feels cozy, with a love of cinema vibe that is missing from most modern theaters that makes a visit here feel personal and meaningful. I don't live nearby, so won't be able to visit often, but I'll now try to find an excuse any time I'm in the area.

Classic upgraded movie theatre in charm city Baltimore, walking distance from Penn Station, w historical vibes. Gorgeous cinema and extra wide screens makes this place filled with nostalgia for those who grew up going to the movies regularly. So happy these places still exist. I live in DC but it’s cheaper, safer, and better for me to come all the way here than go watch a movie in Gtown, Gallery place, or any other location in DC, now that they shut down E St. Cinema. Thank god for Charles Theatre 😊❤️👍

There are things that need renovation, but overall not a bad experience. There is a bit of a smell but that's almost expected for an older building. They need a new projector because the current one is somewhat dim. The audio system is decent, but the room lacks acoustic treatment. The seats are comfortable but aren't to the standards of current chain movie theaters.
