We recently hired the function room at the Darlington Golf Club and, for the price, the offering is very good. The space is clean, tidy, and well-kept, with nothing broken or worn, and it really becomes what you make of it once you add your own decorations. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our event.
One disappointment was the limited drink options. There was an issue with the soda pump on the day, which reduced the selection even further, and it was a shame that no alternative (such as cans or bottles) was brought in to compensate.
On a positive note, the buffet provided by the venue was excellent—some of the best event buffet food we’ve had. The flavours, portion sizes, and variety were impressive and reasonably priced.
There is plenty of parking, which is convenient; however, the car park and the road leading to it are in poor condition and full of potholes, which does detract from the overall experience.
Overall, a good venue with great food and friendly staff, so a 5 star experience on the night, however I unfortunately wouldn’t personally book it again unless they had the car park and road improved as I would hate to think that one of our guests ended up with damage to their cars because they attended our event.

Held a Birthday Party at the club recently, and it was fantastic!
Very accommodating in terms of access to decorate and staff on the evening were great.
Catering was done by Clare at the club, and it was superb! Fresh, homemade and tasty.
Highly recommend and will strongly consider for future events.

Visiting the area and found Darlington. Golf mobile app said they had clubs to rent. Booked a round. Arrived and found out they don't have rental clubs.
Here is why a 5 star review. Alex. A personable friendly young club pro put together a set and got us out on the course! Thank you Alex!!! Now golf mobile needs to update so Alex doesn't get caught like this again!
Course is in good condition, not overly long, fun to walk, rewards good shot placement.
Atmosphere is friendly. Great place to spend a few hours and play a fun round of golf.
