Highly recommended! We stayed in a suite for four nights and it was a first class experience from check in to checkout. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was unexpectedly lavish. We loved the ambience of the lobby. The entire staff was wonderful and Fitz the concierge was great. The hotel is an easy walk to the French Quarter without the chaos of the FQ. We especially enjoyed breakfast at the Couvant (wow- the shrimp and grits were fantastic). This is now our NOLA "go to" hotel!

Came here for a weekend trip and was really happy with location and service. We were upgraded to an interior suite and thought the bedroom didn't have any windows…it did make for a nice environment to sleep in. No need for blackout curtains. I also enjoyed there was a door separating the lounge area of the room from the bedroom which created an extra barrier for the sound coming from the hallway and lobby during the happy hour. The live music during happy hour in the bar area was a nice touch and the restaurant was surprisingly delicious. We had dinner there one night and breakfast another day. The grits at breakfast were the best I've had…plenty of butter…so yummy. It was nice to be walking distance from the French Quarter without being in the think of it and we also walked to the World War II museum which is quite well done. It's only a block and a half from the Sazerac House which is worth checking out (free tours and tastings). The hotel concierge gave us free jazz passes upon checkin for the public transit but we didn't end up needing them because we just walked everywhere. Really happy with our hotel choice.

We travelled from the UK for Mardi Gras and had a memorable stay at this delightful hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The building is full of character, spacious public areas and a great location. Breakfasts were delicious and rooms very comfortable if a little dark. Coffee maker and bottled water provided and appreciated. Everything exceeded expectations and we thank the staff for all they did to make us so welcome.
