I recently celebrated my birthday at The Great House in Sonning, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. We booked one of the igloos for a party of five, including two children, and from start to finish the experience was outstanding.
Our welcome was so warm and friendly..every member of staff made us feel looked after. A special mention has to go to our lovely and dedicated waitress, Kara. She was amazing from the moment we arrived: attentive, kind, and just an absolute credit to the team. She worked so effortlessly. An absolute star. Also the lovely gentleman who checked us in was equally brilliant, making us feel relaxed and taken care of straight away.
The food arrived incredibly fast, and all off our steaks were cooked beautifully — huge credit to the chefs! The mocktails were super tasty too. Everything was just perfect, and it made my birthday feel really special.
Thank you to everyone at The Great House for such a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back!

We popped in for a few cocktails as we were staying locally. Nice well presented bar with lots of casual seating. A good selection of cocktails, all made fresh by the bar staff. A top tip : If you are ordering cocktails then ask for Bella, she is a great mixologist and, by far, the cocktails she served up were the tastiest of the evening.

Excellent service, we felt especially looked after by Elena. The food was delicious, we ordered extra beef tataki!! Then my daughter got a complementary pudding for her Birthday. A wonderful evening
