Tim and Greg did a wonderful job giving a tour, loaded with facts and trivia of the history of Mary Elitch and the theater, as well as the park. They are an all volunteer operation but you can tell there's a lot of love for this grand dame of a theatre. Well worth the time.

I would like to see the paintings on either side of the stage put back in place because the frames are so empty. Also, all of the photographs of the stars from the beginning of the theater until the parks move need to be put up aa they were originally. This was always green and white, I do not like the gray at all too dank. I am glad for once Denver preserved something important they are so quick to destroy and pull down our history.

I love that this place is still here. It’s cool reading about some of the famous names from back in the day who have performed in this space. There’s clearly great enthusiasm for the renovation (which is sorely needed), and multiple ways to donate. I hope they reach their goal! Maybe that way the inside fountains will work 😉
