The room was huge, with lovely furniture, including a dining table, and two desks. The refrigerator and coffee maker were much appreciated. Although the reception desk was not always manned, the people who reached out to me before my stay were very nice and informative. There was no restaurant in the hotel, but the coffee shop in the building at the corner had what I needed. I will definately stay here again.

Definitely a hard pass on staying here again. Should have looked at the recent low reviews and could have avoided the place entirely. They have work to do. I understand that this hotel was created inside a building that was once a department store in Lafayette. It is easy to imagine what this hotel was just after that renovation had been completed. But the shine has definitely work off. Unfortunately, The physical aspects of the hotel have been sorely neglected since those days and the facility shows it.
Items of Note:
Schetchy back entrance – If you are entering the hotel from the parking lot in the rear of the building you will have to travel down a narrow passageway between a wall and the pool fence to get to the rear entrance. Limited lighting "back alley" feel to this entrance.
Pool and hot tubs out of service – Dead Plants in planters on the pool deck. Pool has a dark bottom with no lights – Not very inviting (especially as it gets dark). Hot tub clearly had not been cleaned, had no lights on, and was not even running.
Whole exterior of building needs pressure wash – dark streaks on walls. – Cream colored exterior stucco was streaked with mildew stains..
Drive by motorist pointed out Hotel was haunted while we were trying to get in the front door in the evening – Don't know what this was all about?
Every local we told where we were staying there wanted to know how it was – It appeared that locals had no knowledge or experience with the hotel. None knew enough to recommend it to friends coming in from out of town.
Fixtures and shower walls had white streaks from hard water buildup and improper cleaning. – Marble tub walls had to have been first class when installed. But lack of cleaning or using wrong cleaning chemicals had resulted in mineral buildup on tub walls and around faucet handles. All caulking had mildewed and needed replacing.
Our first room was above a loud nightclub downstairs. Music was loud enough to be heard and vibrate the floor. – There is no management or staff on-site between 7PM and 10AM, But the manager did come back to the hotel and switch us to another room that was not above the music.
Ceiling fan in first room had no glass cover over lights -just bare bulbs. Fan in 2nd room did not work. But it did have a glass cover over the bulbs
Ac/heat control on wall appeared to have no impact – There was a wall thermostat but it appeared to have no control (heating or cooling) over the under window unit in the room. Were able to control room temp some through the controls on the window unit.
Did have a coffee maker but only provided one coffee pod for morning coffee. There was no coffee available anywhere else in the hotel (remember.. no staff there until 10AM.)
Room did have a couple of styrofoam Coffee cups provided in room with the coffee maker. But the capacity of the cups was exceeded by the amount of coffee coming out of the single serve coffee maker and cup overflowed.
Could not get in front door when returning from evening out-keydid not work- Got back to the hotel around 10PM.. key would not open front door. That was when we were told the place was haunted. Had to walk around the building and thru the alley to get into the back door. Our room card did work on the back door.
Last morning we could not exit front door as we were leaving – Room card would not work. "Exit" button would not let us out. Had their Keyless app installed on my phony this point and tried to us it to open the front door. Did not work and I got an error message that the battery in the Front door lock was discharged and out of service. Finally had to pry the doors open manually to get out.
They definitely have some work to do.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly &
helpful!!!!
However, the room was lacking greatly. The ceiling fan did not work & the light bulb was exposed.
The air conditioner would go no lower than 70 degrees. We checked with the front desk. All a/c were programmed to a threshold of 70 degrees.
It was warm all night. The floors desperately needed mopping. The swimming pool was dirty.
Also, a $50.00 fee was attached to the room in case of destruction. That was fine. Until it took several phone calls & two weeks for them to reverse the fee.
The last phone call the manager said “oh, I will do it tonight.” Three days later we received the $50.00
My husband & I will not stay there again.
We loved the location. It would be great with a few
things corrected.
