My visit to the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the Annual China Commodities Expo–Nigeria, held from the 5th to the 7th of November 2025, was an engaging and insightful experience that showcased the depth of trade potential between Nigeria and China. Organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China in partnership with Brightway International Exhibition, the event once again affirmed its role as one of the most relevant platforms for cross-border business engagement in West Africa.

The Landmark Centre, with its expansive and well-structured exhibition halls, provided a conducive environment for visitors and exhibitors. The event was vibrant, well-organized, and reflective of a high level of planning — from registration through crowd management to booth arrangement. The energy within the halls was remarkable, with hundreds of exhibitors from various provinces in China presenting a broad spectrum of products ranging from electronics, household appliances, industrial tools, construction materials, textiles, and agricultural equipment, to innovative consumer goods.

Interacting with the exhibitors gave me firsthand insight into new product trends, pricing structures, and partnership opportunities. Many companies were eager to enter the Nigerian market or expand existing footprints, which created fertile grounds for discussions on import facilitation, distribution, joint ventures, and customized product development for local needs.

Beyond the business interactions, the event also presented a valuable learning experience on global supply chain dynamics, especially as they relate to Africa’s rapidly evolving consumer and industrial markets. It was equally impressive to see Nigerian entrepreneurs actively negotiating and exploring opportunities to enhance their businesses through international collaboration.

Overall, the 2025 China Commodities Expo–Nigeria at the Landmark Centre was a rewarding experience. It reinforced the importance of trade fairs as drivers of commercial growth, networking, and bilateral cooperation. I look forward to future editions, as they continue to strengthen trade relations and open new frontiers for business development.

Well I am pleased with their space utilization with respect to the infrastructures, there are lots of experiences one can get. The staffs are well coordinated and effective in doing their work seemlessly blending their work flow with customers traffic.

Sprawling centre which can accommodate many events at the same time. Big parking space but may not be adequate for big events or if many events are taking place at the same time in their different venues situated at the same place. Be ready to park your car outside the venue where you will encounter harassment from street urchins either begging for money or asking you to pay for parking.
The male toilet is very small and usually crowded. Not well maintained. No clear markings for wheelchair accessibility.
The event hall has good ambience and aesthetics. The air-conditioning is not optimal for a large crowd. Security is fair
