My partner and I have enjoyed calling OR 42 home for many years now. The location truly can't be beat—just one block from the central business district. We have saved so much time having a grocery store on the same block, as well as being within walking distance of the post office and a shipping center. You also have the choice of two veterinary hospitals within two blocks. Its location makes it incredibly convenient to access everyday necessities.

Because OR 42 is at a higher elevation than many other communities, it offers lovely panoramic views of the Olympic Peninsula, N. Cascade Mountains, Mount Rainier, and downtown Seattle.

You can request permits from the city for street parking or there's an option of underground parking. The leasing office is staffed Monday through Saturday with two highly responsive and professional leasing agents who really do their very best to support their residents. There's also a long-term maintenance technician who lives on-site, and the management team organizes maintenance requests quickly and efficiently—a rare and appreciated quality in apartment living.

To top it off, the community is set to qualify for rent stabilization in May 2026, offering peace of mind and long-term planning for apartment dwellers who may be tired of the unpredictability of other communities.

Overall, this apartment community combines unbeatable location, stunning views, and outstanding resident support—a rare find in Seattle. Highly recommended!

Please don't let all of the recent 1 star people dissuade you from checking out these apartments. It's a really great place to live. We have one of the best roof tops in the neighborhood, a fully stocked gym, it's super pet friendly, and the staff is great. Not to mention how convenient it is with everything you need within walking distance.

Did rent and water go up? Yes, it's Seattle. Did they bring in a valet trash service? Yes, and man is it convenient. Not to mention that the maintenance guy can actually do maintenance type things instead of schlepping garbage around the property for hours on end.

I whole heartedly recommend giving the property a chance and checking out the place for yourselves and don't let a few unhappy folks keep you from what could be the perfect place for you. I love my apartment, and my view, and the people that work here and I'm so grateful to live here.
