Absolutely beautiful hotel located in downtown DC. A landmark hotel that opened 100 years ago in 1925.

The staff here is outstanding. From the front desk staff to the car valet, everyone was friendly and helpful. We made our reservation online, and check-in was efficient and quick. Our room was ready before the check-in time, which helped us out tremendously in getting ready and on our way to the event.

Our room was large, clean and spacious. We had a one bedroom suite with a king bed. It was quiet and comfortable. Loved the faux fireplace and in-room coffee maker. I appreciate hotels that have 24-hour fitness centers. This does and it was a fantastic place to work out.

The pictures below were taking during the holidays and you can see what a beautiful hotel this is. Stop by and stay in the landmark and a piece of history.

I was last at this property when it was a Renaissance, probably about 25 years ago. This trip was outstanding! Such a beautiful and historic property! Check in was excellent and spot-on perfect! The person checking me in hit all the points and he was very helpful!

He upgraded me to an executive king room. When I got to the room, I was amazed to see a wet bar as soon as I opened the door. Walking in, this was a very big room with a separate living room and separate bedroom. Very beautifully appointed too!

In all, I enjoyed an excellent stay here!

Hotel wasn’t bad but could use a refresh. Starting to look a little dated even for classic decor. The room was in good condition. The bed visibly looked lumpy. Not sure if it was just the mattress pad because I was comfortable. The only really bad part was the disappointing breakfast where I got essentially McDonald’s hash browns and store-bought quality toast. Even though it was covered by the mandatory destination fee they charged, I would have rather not used it and paid for breakfast elsewhere.
