Last night was my first time in the Merchants, i drove over from Coventry and left my car over night in the short stay £1.50 car park over night and shared a £30 Uber back to Cov. We managed to find seats for 6 of us and got stuck into the Murphy's. This place is larger than your average pub, it has loads of seating for big groups and small groups, they had loads of staff on so the service was fast and professional. A round of 6 pints cost around £30, which is not too bad for 2025 imo. The beers we had were all good, the selection looked good but i stuck to the Murphy's cos it was so good, plus you dont see it many pubs these days. The lighting, the decor especially the beer theme memorabilia on all the walls and ceiling gave the place a fantastic, warm, friendly and inviting vibe. I was so impressed i texted my friends who were not with me, demanding we come back to this pub asap. I give this boozer 11 out of 10 !!

Super friendly pub in rugby town centre. Great staff, vast array of beers ales and ciders, great wine glasses. They're super dog friendly. And now they're doing Sunday dinners (subject to dates) I only had a beef cob but ohhhh yeah it was tasty as!

Billed as the Rugby pub. This place is charming and had a huge selection of cask beers when we visited. I asked if this was normal or a festival. The barman explained that it was indeed the normal amount. Wow.

The decoration on the ceiling should have tipped me off with hundreds of pump clips from breweries all over attached.

The vibe was excellent, the rugby was indeed on, but the clientele was a mix of rugby fans and locals.

Plenty of seating. Quick friendly service and very near the town centre. With the variety of cask on offer it's a no brainer
