First visit here and what an interesting and engaging experience. A marvelous space with excellent exhibits that demonstrate a range of skills from a number of local and national industries and trades.
The staff are friendly and engage well with visitors, providing clear and useful comments and information. We used the cafe which was very good with a good range of menu and at a very reasonable price. On a cold day we had home made soup and bread both were delicious. All in all a great experience that we will definitely repeat. A credit to Derby and a real gem for its citzens and visitors to Derby

A brilliant free experience for everyone. It was Britain's first successful powered, continuous production factory built in 1717. The museum has penty if history and lots of material to explore. There is also a huge model railway set, cafe, craft shop and Rolls Royce engine. Overall a brilliant modern and clean museum with excellently helpful and polite staff.

We went to the SEND day. The children loved it. Absolutely loads to do and see. It was free. Parking was a problem. I had a blue badge but couldn't find the area and nothing was close enough. The highlight was the pottery workshop. The helpers were such lovely people. Kind, patient and warm to everyone. The video section was impressive but we didn't understand the concept. Could have done with someone explaining it to us.
Overall it was a great experience and well worth a visit and it's free to go in. It was recommended to me and we weren't disappointed.
