We wanted a quick break from the city and booked ourselves to stay in The Old Rectory. The place was very homey. The breakfast included in the booking was not a buffet but very delicious and tasty. The staff were very friendly as well and is always there to give assistance when needed. It is so close in the old town and was a quick walk back after us wondering around the bay area. They can cater two cars in their parking spaces and we were lucky to avail one as most areas in the town are paid parking. Highly recommended place to stay!

Stayed here for my cousin’s hen and we had the whole place rented out. First of all, the staff were amazing! Could not be more accommodating and laid back. They made everything relaxed and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and would highly recommend. Definitely going to stay again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful stay. After a 5.5hr solo car journey I arrived exhausted.. I was immediately offered a cup of tea and taken through to the lounge… Sitting in front of the roaring log fire a teapot and slice of cake soon had me perking up…. My case was magically whisked up to my room whilst I enjoyed my tea.
My room was beautiful, on the second floor overlooking the garden… Beautifully done with lots of thoughtful touches… Beautiful toiletries in the bathroom, a robe hanging to wrap myself in, the usual hairdryer but also lovely cosy hot water bottles if you fancied snuggling up… The bed was so comfortable… I don't sleep well generally but did in that bed!! Waking up I realised it was far later than I expected it to be.
Breakfast amazing again… Home smoked fish, home made sausages, beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I didn't need anything else to eat until I reached home later that evening. I had travelled for a music event, the staff the night before when I was asking how to walk to the venue even offered to walk me there… It was only a few minutes away. The following morning I was asked how my evening out had been… So thoughtful and well remembered.
I loved it… And highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone
