Sheprice and Lauren are absolute gems!
My stay at the Palmer House was excellent, largely due to the amazing service I received from Sheprice and Lauren. Their welcoming and enthusiastic attitudes made my visit special from start to finish. I had very specific and kind of difficult view requests, but since Palmer House isn’t known for its views this was no easy task. They were kind and accommodating and never got frustrated with the amount of work it took to make me happy. Sadly this is a rare experience in today’s day and age, and I’m happy I was on the receiving end of their excellent customer service. The hotel itself is stunning, with a history you can feel in every corner. But it was the friendly, personal service that made all the difference. Add to that a great price for the stay, and I can confidently say I'll be back. Thank you ladies keep up the great work! My 18th floor view was amazing.

Old school flare with new school touches. Excellent location in the heart of downtown Chicago which made it easy to walk or catch a Lyft to anywhere you want to go. For those driving or rented a car from the airport, the hotel surprisingly has a free parking arrangement with a parking garage which was great to see. Extremely nice bar/restaurant on the 1st floor. The only negative for anyone vegan or vegetarian was the lack of food options from the hotel. Room service was efficient and friendly but the rooms themselves definitely need an upgrade. Bathroom is tiny, toilet is low to the ground and the water pressure was weak. That aside the bed was amazing and the little frig, TV with lots of options and ample room to store clothes somewhat made up for the bathroom. The spa! OMG! To put it simply, EVERYTHING was amazing: the staff, the services, the atmosphere and the magical robes they give you to wear ( we even purchased 2). Definitely visit the spa if you stay here. We will be back whenever we visit the windy city again.

The hotel location was in a very convenient spot, within walking distance to the Bean and right next to the red line. I understand it's a historic hotel, but with the amount of money they seem to be making it seems like they could put more towards repairs and upkeep. The staff were fantastic though. They were all so friendly and outgoing, especially Carlo. Carlo really helped us out when we needed it and I greatly appreciate it. We had an adjoining room and could very clearly hear our neighbors singing at full volume, to the point where the front desk could hear them on the phone when we called to switch rooms. So word to the wise: unless you need it, ask to avoid an adjoining room at all cost.

The one thing that really put a bad taste in my mouth was being accosted by Hilton timeshare salespeople. I couldn't go anywhere near the front desk without one of them stopping me to talk about timeshare nonsense and wouldn't take no for an answer. Really soured the whole experience for me, they were polite but I don't want my vacation constantly interrupted by a service I wasn't remotely interested in and they are incredibly pushy.

The hotel is beautiful and historic (if it could use some repairs still), every staff member we encountered were absolutely fantastic (special shout out to Carlo at the front desk, he saved our vacation) but the Hilton timeshare employees really bummed me out.
