This piece of living history is still a work in progress. The enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of thee volunteers hosting the open day more than made up for the incomplete condition of the house. Against the odds, this large Regency house has been saved, as it should be. The volunteers are asking for cash donations to move the whole project forward. We willingly gave our small contribution, but if there is a wealthy corporate donor hoping to leave a lasting impression on the history of Brighton and Hove, this could be just what you are looking for.

The love and enthusiasm behind the hard and contentious work is to be applauded. This is an amazing project that is capturing the spirit and the detail of a large 1830s town house. Well worth a tour and well worth supporting their endeavours.

We visited the Regency Town House for a classical guitar concert which was brilliant. There was also a small art exhibition in the Town House which was interesting.
