First time catching a show here. I was a bit concerned due to some of the negative reviews I read. However, my experience was overwhelmingly positive. ID check, ticketing, and security, were all a breeze and the staff were friendly. The bartenders were attentive and the drink selection was good for a venue bar. Yes, the drinks were overpriced, but that is to be expected at a music venue. The bathrooms were weird because they were right next to the stage, so it was a bit difficult to get to them once the venue filled up. Also, there was a lot of water and presumably urine on the floor. At least there were no long lines to the restrooms, so that is a plus. There is a forward ground level next to the stage, and an upper tier where you can stand, and a VIP seating area that is elevated. I was in the upper tier and from there the sound system was crisp but a little low in volume. Overall take away – it has a dive bar feel, staff are friendly, drinks were good, sound system was pretty good. I would definitely return.

Usually go for Emo night, but this place is awesome. The staff is amazing and kind, and the drinks are phenomenal. Plus the events that have is for every cup of tea.

My friends and I went to see System of a Clown (SOAC) last night at The Ritz, and they put on a great performance. They played a lot of awesome System of a Down songs and mixed in short mini-songs from other artists, which kept things fun and interesting.

The crowd was energetic and in a great mood—the mosh pit was swirling like a tornado, but thankfully there were no fights. The opening band, El Guapo, did a decent job warming up the crowd for SOAC. Their set was all instrumental, with some backing tracks for vocals and sound effects. Personally, I prefer live vocals, but they still delivered a solid performance.

My only real complaint was about the bar. We ordered Long Island Iced Teas, but they were served in small plastic cups. These drinks are usually served in a Collins glass or at least a tall plastic cup, so that was a bit disappointing.

Overall, though, it was a fun night of great music and good vibes.
