This newly opened aquarium in downtown Seattle has quickly become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors. It might not be as large as the original, but its thoughtful design and beautiful architecture reflect the spirit of the Northwest. We stopped by for the first time and were genuinely impressed by giant aquarium with sharks and stingrays —definitely worth a visit.

It was a great experience. In my opinion it’s way better than the aquarium. It’s a lot cleaner and more modern.

We visited the new Ocean Pavilion at the Seattle Aquarium and were really impressed! The design is modern and open, with beautiful tanks showcasing coral reefs, sharks, and rays.
We happened to catch a live feeding session with staff commentary, which made the experience even better — it was informative without being too long or formal.
Even without a tour, it’s easy to enjoy on your own. The space feels calm and immersive, and the layout encourages you to explore at your own pace.
It’s a great addition to the aquarium — definitely worth visiting if you’re coming, especially with CityPASS!
