Amazing lodge. Everything made with good taste and love to details. The cleanest room we've have had in Sri Lanka so far. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious. A lot of plants and nice view from the terrace.
Location is perfect. Pretty quiet and very close to little Adam's peak, 9 arches bridge & the ella central street.
Kamal (host) and his family are very friendly and nice people. We highly recommend cooking class, which is held by his mother and sister. You will learn about traditional food and taste delicious local currys.
PS we stayed during 5 – 7 Dec 2025. It's was very safe to travel in Ella. No more floods or any damages in this region.
Highly recommended 🔥🔥🔥

Absolut gem of a place. The owners (family business) are incredibly welcoming. Situated nearby little adams peak and is nicely situated on the hill, so you have to walk up some stairs. But the owners are really helpfull with taking your luggage (if needed, we rejected). The accommodation has a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. They will help you if you want some water / beers, tuktuk ride or anything from town.
You might have to share your room or outdoor space with some geckos, but don't worry, they do an amazing job in keeping the Mosquito's away!
The breakfast we had was really tasty, option to choice western breakfast (bread and egg or sri lankan local breakfast). We took the local breakfas and got some coconut roti, dahl and coconut sambal, it was amazing!
They also provide a cooking class here. We attempted the morning class from 11 am untill 1 pm, we made dhal, coconut sambal, cabbage curry, and eggplant curry. All of them were amazing and we are definitely going to proceed making them at home. (All vegetarian on our request, which ofcourse is very possible in a vegetarian friendly country). They also have an afternoon cooking class (from 4pm till 6pm) and they change the recipes so you can even go twice if you want!

Very clean and beautiful lodge. The owners are very friendly, heartwarming and helpful.
Sometimes a small squirrel meets you at the terrace.
Little Adams peak is very close. You can easily walk up.
The City center is also very close. You can walk, ca 15min, but when it was dark we preffered a tuktuk, which is a little more expensive in Ella than in different places but still affordable 🙂
We can recommend to attend the cooking class which is held by the host family.
