I had my wedding and reception at the Stockroom this past weekend and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The Glass Box was the perfect getting ready suite with so much room and natural light. We also ate a private dinner up there so that we could actually sit and enjoy our food. The deck was lovely for photos and our private vows, and the rest of the space was absolutely gorgeous with the string lights and exposed wood. The evening ran very smoothly thanks to the crew. I wouldn't change a thing!

My husband and I absolutely LOVED having our wedding here! We were specifically looking for an indoor venue, and we had such a great experience from the tour to the wedding day. We loved the chalk wall, the bridal suite upstairs, the LIGHTING!! Everything! The staff was also very professional and incredibly kind. Big shout out to Collin for being so awesome!!! 🙂

February 2025 – Top notch wedding venue, The Stockroom, in downtown Raleigh 😃👍🏼
A wonderful catered event in the historic Carolina Trust building (circa 1902).

Kudos to the founder, Greg Hatem of Empire Properties & Empire Eats ! He masterminds both companies which symbiotically have transformed parts of Raleigh & Durham cities. Since 1995 , Empire Properties renovated 70 building projects, including the Stockroom! Today the Stockroom is reserved for many weddings & celebrations throughout the year.

Our daughter reserved the Stockroom on 2nd floor for her wedding this past February! Her guest list included family & friends just under 90 people, perfect venue! Michelle was our delightful “Venue Host”👍🏼😃

The sister company, Empire Eats provided all the planning for catering, venue set up, and flow of the evening under Michelle’s guidance! (Includes 1 hour rehearsal time prior to wedding day) The food was excellent 😃👍🏼👍🏼

My daughter also reserved the 5th floor Glassbox ! Great roof top space encased in glass windows, which provides lounge, balcony access, private restroom, tables & chairs for a smaller private venue. . . Changing area for bridal party or space for celebrations ! There is an Elevator!

    Empire also acquired :

    *Raleigh Times
    *The Morning Times
    *The Pitt ( Davie Street)
    *Sitti Lebanese
    *Gravy Italian-American Kitchen
*The Pit (Central Park District in Durham)
*Pizza Times ( replaced Raleigh Times)
    *Purchased The Mecca
    *Square Burger

I highly recommend reserving this historic venue. . . The Stockroom in downtown Raleigh !😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. It’s a fantastic “package” smoothly run !

    Historical note:

The Carolina Trust building is classic revival architecture, built in 1902.

Next door to Mahler Building, in Romanesque Revival, built in 1876.
