Went to see Ocean Vuong speak about his new book The Emperor of Gladness on the day of a huge storm when lots of trees were downed on the east side and hail hit in some areas of Austin. Distribution Hall was safe, they closed the garage doors briefly to dodge the rain. The event went smoothly and only a few people got caught in the rain, but we were all safe inside and luckily the rain and wind passed by quickly. Distribution Hall is a great venue that has been very versatile for hosting the best and most creative Austin events ie. Almost Real Things magazine, Food and Wine, Asian American Night Market etc.

Black Art Weekend was very cool. The space is good and there is a parking lot across the street. Facility is wheelchair accessible with at least 1 dedicated parking in front.

Was able to do a luncheon for guest at this event and wow what a great place!
Really cool layout and beautiful outdoor area. Parking a little tough, but hey that’s downtown for ya.
