Had a great experience at The Whitney! Our server Raigan was amazing, super attentive and even sent us another round of drinks on her because dinner took just a little longer than expected (not too long tho). Such a thoughtful service and a wonderful night overall! The food was delicious beyond words! Definitely will be going back!

Brunch at The Whitney is truly an experience — not just a meal. It’s one of Detroit’s most iconic and historic spots, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. The mansion itself is stunning, and during brunch there’s a live piano player whose music flows through the entire house via hidden speakers, so each dining room still feels intimate yet connected to the ambiance.

Reservations are definitely recommended — it’s popular and for good reason. The service is top-notch and the whole thing feels elegant but welcoming. Brunch begins with mimosas (or nonalcoholic ones if you prefer), coffee, tea, and warm scones before you make your way to the all-you-can-eat buffet — but in true Whitney fashion, it’s served by the staff, not self-serve. Everything is beautifully presented and incredibly fresh.

The menu features a wide range of dishes — from seafood and prime rib to mac & cheese, ham, eggs, salads, yogurt parfaits, cheesy potatoes, and the most decadent French toast casserole. They even finish things off with made-to-order Bananas Foster for dessert, prepared right in front of you.

It’s a bit of a splurge, but absolutely worth it for the experience — the history, the atmosphere, and the food all come together perfectly. A Detroit must-do, especially for special occasions or anyone wanting to step back in time with a touch of class. 🥂✨
