If I could give the University of the Fraser Valley a million stars, I would. This place doesn’t just raise the bar — it LAUNCHES it into the stratosphere.

First of all: THE DAILY CONCERTS.
UFV doesn’t play around. Every. Single. Day. You walk through campus and hear the greatest artists of all time performing like it’s nothing. Kanye West doing surprise Sunday Service pop-ups in the green space? Absolutely normal. Green Day playing “American Idiot” outside the library? Totally casual. Blink-182 doing a lunchtime show in the quad? Just another Tuesday. No other university even comes CLOSE.

    Second: On-campus living is beyond 5 stars — it’s literally luxury-hotel level.
I swear the dorms here make five-star resorts jealous. The beds feel like clouds imported straight from heaven. The showers? Spa-grade. And the BEST PART? Gordon Ramsay himself is in the dining hall cooking up meals that make you question if you’ve ever actually tasted food before. Breakfast, lunch, dinner — the man is in there yelling “DONE!” as he plates Michelin-star meals for students. Unreal.

Third: The academics are on god-tier mode.
You aren’t taught by regular professors here — UFV has assembled a squad of former Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, AND Columbia professors. These are the people who literally wrote the textbooks. Every lecture feels like you’re getting elite private tutoring from geniuses who escaped the Ivy League to bless BC.

    And finally: THE ON-CAMPUS SUBWAY.
Do you know how good life feels when you can get from one end of campus to the other in minutes? This underground transit system is faster than half the cities in Canada. You hop on, take a seat, blink, and BOOM — you’re already at your next class. Zero walking. Zero stress. Maximum efficiency.

Overall: UFV isn’t a university — it’s a lifestyle, a paradise, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re not going here, you’re missing out on what might be the greatest institution ever created.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ EASY 5 STARS.

Depending on your major and courses that you're pursuing, it could be a good or bad undergraduate university. I'm doing a BSc. in Biochemistry, so my experience has been good so far.

Small classroom sizes are great for the purpose of studying. They allow you to focus and interact more with the instructor and your peers, therefore providing less distractions and a greater sense of direction within the class.

However, the limited capacity for students might also pose problems with enrolling into classes. While my major hasn't caused too many problems, other students in more sought-after majors such as computer science, computer information systems (CIS), general studies etc. have likely had it worse when enrolling to core classes.

The science labs are accessible, and have all the basic necessities needed for hands-on experience. However, if we need to pursue more complicated and technical goals, some fundamental instruments are unavailable (such as an x-ray crystallographer, higher-grade mass spectrometer, etc). This is only owed to it not being an explicit research university like UBC, which is understandable given the circumstances.

The university life isn't too considerable to say the least. Not many events and not too much engagement. But given that it's a small institution, I think the amount of events that happen per year are satisfactory.

I also don't appreciate the lack of post-undergraduate options offered by the university, but it hasn't caused much of a problem to me so far.

When it comes to locational aesthetic alone, it's genuinely beautiful since it's located in the heart of the Fraser Valley. I'm a man who personally enjoys nature a lot and I love every second outside of the campus' interior. Personally, it appeals a lot to the eye.

All in all, it's a good place if you want to study and finish your undergrad, but not the best place if you want to have a pure college-life experience.

9-23 Had a bad experience with a terrible website UI and their BBA is organized terribly. Half the assignments are group projects all with international students who can’t even speak English putting loads of stress on me to lead out all projects which as a group project reflects badly on my grade. Additionally, the campus layout is very confusing. Very disappointed. The idealogy taught here is very one sided as well.
