An out-of-the-way but fabulous collection of maritime history everyone should see, especially significant to Vancouver.
Well worth a few hours and days if you want to read everything.
The obvious highlight is the actual restored ST. ROCH RCMP schooner inside the museum. I would seriously suggest to make sure you sign up for a timed entrance to it as soon as you pay your admission.
Although this is mostly an adult attraction they have provided a "maritime play area" at the back of the museum.

Wonderful way to spend a rainy day.
Brought a 3 year old here and he had a blast. Great children’s area with amazing costumes, the large RCMP boat was a hit and steering a boat so much fun. Had to pull him away but the pirate eye patch helped get him out the door!

This is a great museum to explore and learn about Vancouver and general maritime history. There's an indoor playground, and some other interactive parts that make this a great museum to visit with children. It was fun to enter and explore a historical boat, and there was a lot of information to read and learn about the history. The interactive and guided knot making station was very interesting! Overall highly recommended visit for people of all ages.
