This was one of the loveliest, most informative tours I've ever been on. Our guide, Beth was flawless! She knew about every detail in the home. We were amazed by how well restored the house was and the absolute beauty of the art of Howard Wheeden. She was truly a woman ahead of her time.

I had the pleasure of a guided tour of the Weeden House Museum with Director Beth Hamilton. The experience offers a wonderful blend of history and art, featuring the remarkable work of Maria Howard Weeden, most notably beautiful portraits of the African Americans living in Huntsville at the turn of the 20th century. My mom and I truly enjoyed learning about the home’s rich history and its past residents. This is a tour not to be missed!

Photographed a wedding here in October, and absolutely loved it! The Weeden House is a beautiful historical home, perfect for a backyard wedding under the pecan trees. It gets gorgeous light in the evening, is close to downtown for photos around Huntsville, and is one of those rare venues that has equally nice getting ready suites for both the bride and the groom. Parking is limited, so be aware of that as you make your preparations!
