★★★★★ 10/10 Experience
I visited the Harvey B. Grant Museum for a powerful panel discussion exploring the past, present, and future of Black history, and the entire evening was a 10 out of 10.
From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out: immaculately dressed, welcoming, and professional. We were allowed to roam the halls freely, taking in some of the most compelling art I’ve seen in a long time.
The artwork never fails. It spans from deeply thought-provoking pieces to striking visuals that tell stories that need to be spoken. Every room felt intentional, meaningful, and alive with history and culture.
An unforgettable night at a museum that truly honors Black stories and artistic excellence. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this museum! I'm someone who gets bored of museums fairly quickly so I actually liked that this museum was small, just a couple floors that you can walk through in less than an hour. The art was beautiful and impactful. It was only $10 to get in and it wasn't crowded at all on a Saturday afternoon; there's no need to purchase tickets in advance, though you can online. Would absolutely recommend checking this out!

I truly enjoyed myself. I am from Michigan, so it is much smaller than our African American museum, but it is worth it. As a Detroit area native, I LOVED the exhibit "In Pursuit of Home" by Mario Moore. His pieces were phenomenal.
