Absolutely gorgeous! An incredible security guard V. Hall instructed us to check out the 3rd floor and let us know some amazing features in this landmark of a library. Librarians were super helpful and friendly as well!

🎯Google Guide Review✨: The Detroit Main Library has been a part of my life since I was a kid. If you love the old architecture and art that makes this city so unique, this place is a must-see. Opening in 1921, it’s solid, timeless, and full of character.

The second floor is where the magic happens, with bronze adorned columns that scream "craftsmanship." The ceilings are a work of pewabic and bronze art in themselves, with intricate designs that make you want to just stop and stare for a while. The stained glass windows and oil paintings on the walls make an amazing combo of light filtered beauty in a quiet, almost sacred feeling space. Whether you’re here to get some studying done, cowork, or just soak in the atmosphere, the library is more than just a place for books. It's a place where you can feel connected to Detroit’s history and its love for art and architecture. 🖼️🏛️✨
