Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Got to hear the history of the York families that founded Rowntrees, Terry's and Craven. Plenty of sample tit bits of chocolate as you travel round the tour, some not so tasty but you get to taste what it was like when first discovered and made into a drink, rhe first real chocolate with niblets in and then the smoother chocolate. Got to make our own white choc lolly and add various little pieces on it as decoration. Watched a demonstration of passion fruit and fresh cream chocolates being made and were allowed to take some home. They were DELICIOUS.😍 Really recommend this tour.

We recently went on the tour during half term with our 3 year old
old. Our guide Josh was informative, but catered to all ages. I think everyone enjoyed the free sample in each room, maybe not the nibs! Josh was knowledgeable and engaging. At the end of the tour we got to make lollipops each and try a truffle that had been freshly made. A great family experience to do together. Best to book in advance as can fill up quickly. We couldn't get in last time we visited York, so glad we booked ahead this time.

Highly recommend and worth the entry fee. Very informative and interesting tour our guide Josh was engaging and knowledgeable. The exhibits are a mix of fun and Information and very interactive. With lots free sample. We added the truffle making and lolly workshop which was good fun too. I'll add we are 2 fully grown adults and still enjoyed it, so not just for kids.
